BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
My own path of healing and transformation has greatly influenced who I am as a psychotherapist. My father died when I was young, and the experience profoundly changed my life. I also was physically and emotionally debilitated as a young adult from a severe chronic pain diagnosis. Through body-mind-spirit interventions, I am fully and completely healed.
I have been practicing as a psychotherapist for the past 15 years throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. I received my MS in Counseling from Dominican University, and my BA in Psychology from the University of Colorado with a minor in Peace & Conflict Studies.
In addition to my private practice, I have enjoyed facilitating transformation with a variety of clients of all ages and therapists-in-training in the hospice setting. I also have extensive experience working with teens, preteens, and young adults in schools and community mental health. In 2018, I joined the Counseling Dept. at Sonoma State University as an adjunct faculty member.
I am fluent in Spanish, and I have lived and travelled extensively in Latin America and Asia.
