Background and Experience
Laurie has been licensed in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC 47109) since 2009. She recieved her MS in Psychology from Dominican University, her BA in Psychology from University of Colorado, Boulder. Laurie's father was a psychiatrist in Marin County for fifteen years, before his early death in 1992.
Laurie's therapeutic style is influenced by her training and practice in these modalities:

In addition to her private practice, Laurie currently runs the clinical intern program at Hospice by the Bay, a non-profit providing hospice and bereavement services to Bay Area families. She is responsible for recruitment, training, and clinical supervision of Masters-level clinicians, providing grief and crisis support in Marin, San Francisco and Sonoma.
Laurie also trains clinicians across Northern California on the psychology of death, dying and bereavement, bringing a somatic, embodiment perspective to this work.
